Rota San Fernando Walk

 

Richard Retin and Ed Pado returned to Rota in 2009. We were there from Feb. 11 to the 17th.  One afternoon I walked up San Fernando Ave. ("the American side") to the Base main gate.  I took a picture of any likely bar location.  I only recognized two places from my time there in 1967.

 

I took a few pictures on my walk back on "the Spanish side".

Suzie Bar 1967 - My home away from home

Rebuilt Suzie Bar location, now a pastry and ice cream store. Looking remarkably like the original building.
