Our initial stop at Patriots Point was the Cold War Submarine Memorial.  We all gathered around and Mushy read the speech that Chaplin Peters wrote for our moment of respect (read it here).

We then went aboard the USS Yorktown.  Some of us took a guided tour and others just wandered around on their own.  Lunch was in the CPO Mess, which was served on those fondly remembered stainless steel trays, just like on the Canopus.  It was great!

Afterwards we waited around to take the "liberty boat" to Fort Sumter.
